OSHA Compliance Manual
As a service of our retainer package, a complete OSHA Compliance Manual will be created and maintained for your funeral home.  The manual can be either in hard copy form or you may choose to store your OSHA Compliance Manual electronically on our website.  The following written programs and documentation will be provided within the manual:
Hazard Communication, OSHA 1910.1200
Written program designed to inform the employee about the chemical hazards of the workplace i.e. MSDS interpretation, labeling policy, PPE, chemical inventory, etc.
Occupational Exposure to Formaldehyde, OSHA 1910.1048
Written program designed to inform the employee about the occupational exposure risks associated with formaldehyde i.e. embalming process, PPE, exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, emergency action plan, ventilation, spills, etc.
Respiratory Protection, OSHA 1910.134
Written program designed to inform the employee about the principles of operation of negative-pressure, air-purifying respirators (typically used in funeral homes).
Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens, OSHA 1910.1030
Written program designed to inform the employee about the hazards of bloodborne pathogens associated with the tasks of removals, embalming, cosmetizing, waste handling, etc.  Also covers topics such as hepatitis B vaccinations, exposure incident reporting and follow-up and more.
Occupational Exposure to Tuberculosis, OSHA 5a.1
Written program designed to inform the employee about the occupational hazards of tuberculosis i.e. symptoms, detection, respiratory protection, handling active TB cases, treatment, community risk profile, etc.
General Health and Safety, OSHA 5a.1
Written program designed to provide the employee an overall commitment from management regarding health and safety at the funeral home.  Also provides overview of PPE, fire protection, and other aspects of the facility.

A variety of forms are provided to the funeral home to assist in areas such as chemical inventory, cleaning and disinfection, exposure monitoring, equipment inspections, and more.
